FAIRPLACE Church begins its Christmas celebrations this weekend with an Advent carol service on Sunday December 2.

The service welcomes people to come and enjoy carols, readings and seasonal music.

Preparations are also underway for the annual Christmas concert, Carols for All, presented by the Okehampton Choral Society. The popularity of this event means that once again two performances will be given in Fairplace Church, on Friday, December 7 and Friday, December 14, both at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6, £3 for students and are on sale at the Beanfeast in the Arcade.
