TAVISTOCK's Adam Holland led a winning relay team to victory at the Challenge Henley triathlon earlier this month.
Swim sponsors Swimovate put together a crack team for the long distance triathlon in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.
Olympic hopeful Ellie Faulkner from Sheffield swimming squad had a 3 minute lead out of the Thames, taking just 48 minutes to complete the 3.8km river swim.
Local cycle shop owner Rob Griffiths took off for the 112 mile cycle leg and powered back in under five hours in second place.
Adam regained first position after just a few minutes of running and raced the scenic marathon run course in 2 hour 52 minutes, to give a combined time of 8 hours 39 finishing first of the one hundred teams competing.
Lisa Irlam, Swimovate's chief executive, said: 'It was an amazing event in a wonderful setting.
'Our team members all gave incredible performances and we were honored they were racing for us.
'We hope they will all join us again next year!'
Adam's performance even merited him a mention in The Sun's website — the national daily's reporter Tim Heming took part in the event and in his blog said: 'One noticeable flyer is Adam Holland, who is running the final leg for the winning Swimovate relay team. He's previously set a world record for the fastest 10 marathons in 10 days and has run over 130 of them. He clocks 2hrs 52mins. And he's only 23.'
