TAVISTOCK long distance runner Adam Holland is set to take on the Brathey ten marathons in ten days challenge at Windermere in the Lake District. Last year Tavistock Athletic Club member Adam broke the world record for the fastest person to do 'ten marathons in ten days.'
Adam was the youngest to take part. His total aggregate time was 32 hours 47minutes 3 seconds with an average mile time for 262 miles of 7mins 30 secs. He is looking to break 32 hours this year at an average of 3 hrs 12minutes a marathon.
He said: this is what a challenge is all about, I don't know if i can do it but I'm going to give it a go. I've got lots of friends backing me and saying that I can do it, so I'll have to show them.'
