THE Liz Sobey Memorial Fund — A very big thank you to everyone who kindly donated honey to Liz's Tree Fund. This has allowed us to sponsor a tree in the new arboretum at the Garden House, which has now been planted and is situated by the lake.

We needed to raise £500, but with your generous donations have been able to double that, enabling us to purchase a bench in Tavistock Meadows which will be under a large oak tree by the children's playground.

We hope all of Liz's friends and family will be able to visit these special places in the hope it will evoke happy memories of Liz.

TAVISTOCK Friends of Cancer Research UK wish to thank so many people who supported their recent collection — Morrisons, who kindly allowed us to collect outside their store, and all the generous customers who managed to donate when laden with their shopping, those who gave their time to stand with a collecting tin for an hour or two, those who braved the weather to collect in the town and, of course, all those generous people who donated to the fund.

We hope that they will all be pleased to read that the collection raised £1,500 — thanks to them all.
