EVERYONE is welcome to come along and enjoy a special exhibition at the Museum of Dartmoor Life this month.

The People's Record exhibition will look at Okehampton in the years 1908 and 1948 — the years the Olympic Games were held in Great Britain.

There will also be a writing competition for children to enter, which can be either a spooky mystery story or an exciting adventure, tale or poem.

The stories must include time travel back to the past or into the future, the Olympic Games of 1908, 1948 and 2012.

The competition is open to five to seven years olds, eight to eleven year olds, and 12 to 18 year olds and the winner of each group will receive a prize.

The People's Record exhibition will be held throughout August, from tomorrow (Friday) and also during the whole of October.
