AFTER last week's Remembrance Sunday's moving service ceremonies, may I pass on a short poem which helps us remember those whose suffering is often forgotten but never ends.

Remember Them

Amidst Remembrance, let us pause;

For some were left on foreign shores

And some the mighty oceans kept;

Remember them — And those who wept.

Marion Fairchild

Maybe our church might like to use it in future years. Remember those who despite their own loss, kept the home fires burning for those who came back.
