A TOTAL of £525 was donated to Devon Air Ambulance after a weekend of ?glorious? food at the South West Woodburning Centre. The centre hosted the summer kitchen weekend at its Winkleigh base on July 7 and 8. People took advantage of the weekend?s 10% discount on the selection of stoves and cookers, and a range of cuisine treats. As the Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the woodburning centre?s chosen charity, it was represented by a stall selling merchandise (above). Volunteer helper, Sarah Kelway, said: ?We were glad to be invited to come along and fly the Devon Air Ambulance flag at this event. ?We are very grateful for the ongoing support of the South West Woodburning Centre both now and in the last few years.? While adults browsed the merchandise, children took part in a colouring competition, with two air ambulance items on offer. The prizes were won by Abigail Hail from Tavistock, in the 8 and over category, and Jack Hosegood from North Tawton, aged 7 and under.
