THE Lambs' good form continued with this victory over Penryn. They seemed to have turned the corner with three consecutive wins after a run of six without victory.
The Lambs took charge from the kick-off but it took until the 28th minute before they finally broke through. James Cole's corner found defender Darren Babb whose stinging drive was blocked by Steve Jewell. But the ball fell to Anthony Thirlby to smash home through a crowded goalmouth.
The home side were back on level terms inside four minutes. Mark Rapsey missed a gilt-edged chance before Martin Day swung in a dangerous cross. The Lambs had two chances to clear but the ball fell to Jewell to pick his spot from ten yards.
It all went wrong from the resultant kick-off when John Hajiyanni's back-pass was intercepted by Steve Winnan to go on and stroke home past Andy Meeds.
The Lambs regained their composure at the start of the second half and were back on level terms in the 51st minute. Andy Avery's weak goal kick found Simon Parnell who promptly shot home via the inside of a post. The Lambs continued to press and deservedly took the lead again with 18 minutes remaining with Steve Daymond's shot bobbling over Avery.
Victory was secured four minutes later with Daymond setting up Parnell who completed a fine individual performance by driving his shot home from six yards.

THE young Lambs side were disappointed by this narrow defeat. They had two good chances in the opening exchanges but fell behind in the 28th minute when Jeff Spear was allowed to head back across goal unchallenged for Paul Jago to volley home.
The Lambs responded and found the Wessex defence in top form but deservedly drew level midway through the second half when Paul Cowling latched onto a though-ball to shoot low across keeper Turner.
The Lambs went behind in the 75th minute when a Jago shot took a deflection to leave Craig Howells stranded. It was cruel luck for the young side who deserved something out of the game.
