PARENTS and children of a popular toddler and baby group issued a fond farewell to organiser Lisa Dashper last week. Last year Lisa set up ?Playbox? at Tavistock United Reformed Church for the congregation who wanted to see a group established. Despite being pregnant at the time, Lisa sourced funding for Playbox and bought new equipment and toys. Shortly after her daughter, Layla, was born, Playbox opened with Lisa at the helm. It ran successfully with more than 40 parents and their children attending. The Rev Roger Cornish said: ?For the last year Playbox has served the needs of mothers and their pre-school children admirably.? But he added that in order to continue the much-needed service a new organiser had to be found. If anyone can continue Lisa?s leadership role contact Mr Cornish on 01822 614613.
