EGG throwing, dog races and the Cosdon Hill Race are just some of the activities planned for Belstone Village Fair day on Sunday, July 14.
The fair will have its usual collection of quality stalls and sideshows, tasty teas, and more. The dog races return for the second year in a row, as do the popular children's races. The Cosdon Hill Race, which traditionally coincided with the fair day, also makes its return.
The course is 3.2 miles and involves a 1,000ft ascent over rough, unmarked high moorland terrain. The run starts at Belstone Village Hall car park at 2.30pm on Sunday, July 14 and takes place in conjunction with the fair. Entry costs £4 on the day.
If you do not feel like taking on the run, activities for the fair start at Belstone's Great Green at 2pm. Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band will perform, dancers will dance around the maypole, and Pimm's and a barbecue will be on offer.
