FANTASTIC fundraising work by the team at Okehampton's Co-operative store have helped to swell the coffers of The Carers' Trust.
Over the last year, the store has raised a fantastic £8,536 for the charity, which has been the Co-operative's charity of the year.
Their efforts put the store fifth overall in the South West and Wales region of 680 stores.
Among those pivotal to the store's fundraising efforts are fundraising co-ordinators Tracey Sandford, Jackie Reynolds and Kirsty Reynolds, who organised events including a fun day at Simmons Park last September, and an abseil off Meldon Viaduct last May.
Carers Trust is the UK's largest charity for carers.
With local network partners, the charity works to improve support, services and recognition for carers in communities across the UK.
