WORRIES over the weather situation for the Tavistock Food Festival have been squashed by the festival?s chairman. Jeffrey Stackhouse has guaranteed a ?dry? visitor event thanks to the all-weather marquee which will be sited in Bedford Car Park this Saturday and Sunday. Mr Stackhouse said he was ?delighted? the marquee will be at the car park and be a visitor sanctuary, whatever the weather. The exhibitor stands are now fully booked and the celebrity chef demonstration area has increased and will now seat more than 250 people. To help visitors with parking, Tavistock Lions and the Round Table are running a park and ride scheme to and from the town centre from Crowndale Road where there will be a parking area.
