FORTY-five junior tetrathletes from 13 pony clubs across the south west met at Kelly College on Saturday for a high class training day.
All four disciplines ? shooting, running, swimming and riding ? were covered. British Olympic modern pentathlon coaches from Bath, Dave Woods and Alan Brown, covered running and shooting, while the riding phase was taught by Clare Nolder, of the National Pony Club training committee, in an exciting and innovative way that delighted members.
The swimming coach was John Rhodes, Cornwall county coach. Local senior pony club members from Lamerton and Mid Devon, Laura and Sarah Gommersall, Michael Harris and Toby Ryan, assisted throughout.
