NOW that the final count has been completed, may I say a big thank you to the people of Tavistock and surrounding districts.

A magnificent £7,477.50 was raised, an all-time record.

That the Poppy Appeal was so well supported demonstrates quite clearly the generosity of the people who live in this part of Devon.

Thanks also to all the establishments who had the poppies on display, and the volunteers who worked so hard doing street collections.

Finally thanks to Lloyds/TSB staff who were so helpful and patient each time I went with a deposit ? thank you.
