THROUGH the columns of your paper, I would like to thank the deputy mayor of Tavistock, for her kindness in calling an ambulance when I took a fall at the crossing near the church, on Sunday June 13.
Also a big thank you to the paramedics for their attention and the doctor, and nurse at the hospital.

ON behalf of the Tavistock and District Christian Aid Group, I would like to thank all the house to house and flag collectors, those who held fundraising events and everyone who made a donation towards this year?s Christian Aid Week (May 9 to 15).
The grand total for Tavistock, Whitchurch, Horrabridge, Peter/Mary Tavy, Gulworthy and Sydenham Damerel was £4,802.56.
This is an excellent figure and our thanks once again to all who contributed in any way.

WILL all those who attended the strawberry tea at 45 Westmoor Park on June 24 in aid of the new Whitchurch parish hall please accept this as a very big thank you.
Also for those who gave donations, and most important, the helpers (all volunteers) who gave their time so willingly. We are very lucky and fortunate to have so many friends to help with this worthy cause. Even the weather was kind to us, making a most enjoyable afternoon.
The total raised so far is £318.68. Many, many thanks.
