SEVERAL thefts of tools from work vans have taken place recently in the Tavistock area.

Tools were stolen from a van parked in Church Lea, Tavistock, over the weekend, sometime between 11am on Saturday, September 1 and 8.45am on Sunday, September 2, CR/80481/18 and between August 27 at 9am and September 2 at 2.30pm thieves stole tools from a van parked Kestrel Park in Tavistock, CR/80594/18.

Police say that thieves are particularly targeting power and hand tools and that thefts are on the rise in Devon and Cornwall, reflecting a national trend.
