POLICE in Okehampton are reminding residents to make sure they lock their cars when they leave them overnight, following reports of would-be thieves rummaging in unlocked vehicles.

‘Station Road seems to be a location that has been repeatedly targeted in recent weeks and ongoing investigations are underway, this includes the viewing of CCTV,’ said PCSO Lisa Smith.

‘If anyone sees any suspicious activity around vehicles in the town, please report this to the police as any information received may lead to suspects being identified.’
