POLICE and firefighters were called to the public toilets at Bedford Square in Tavistock last Sunday (February 4) for the second time in seven days due to arson attacks.

The first incident was between 8.15pm and 8.20pm on Sunday, January 28 when a toilet roll dispenser was set alight. Minor damage was caused. CR/009780/18.

The second arson incident was in the evening last Sunday.

A spokesperson from Tavistock police said that the behaviour by the offenders involved was ‘totally unacceptable’ and thanked the prompt response by the local fire service.
