AMONG the crimes in the Tavistock area this week are a horse being stabbed in the head and damage caused to Princetown’s Pavilion.
• A HORSE was stabbed in the head with a sharp weapon between 5.30pm on February 2 and 9.30am on February 3. The horse was in a field behind Martin’s Meadow in Yelverton when it was attacked. The animal was treated by a vet and survived the incident. CR/010219/18.
• A TREE in a private garden at Woodville Avenue in Princetown was cut down while the owner was at work. The incident occurred between 8am and 2pm on February 2. CR/010087/18.
• A BLACK and white collie was reported to be out of control in Bere Alston at 4pm on February 4. The collie attacked a man and his dog. Police are appealing for witnesses. CR/010726/18.
• A VEHICLE parked at the car park near Warren House Inn had its driver’s side window smashed and items stolen between 2pm and 3pm on February 2. A wallet, containing cards and a driving licence, was stolen. CR/009917/18.
• A SILVER Hyundai had two deep scratches to its near side rear door while parked at Burrator Reservoir between noon and 3pm on February 4. CR/010689/18.
• DAMAGE was caused at Princetown Youth Club’s premises at the Pavilion in the village during a 24-hour period from midnight on January 23. Tables, which form part of the poly tunnel, had their legs broken off and some of the slats were removed off the top of the table. CR/008665/18.
• ADVERTISING signs, placed at Binkham Hill and Lake Lane in Dousland were stolen between 1pm on January 26 and 1pm on January 29. If the signs are located, please contact the police on 101. CR/008688/18.
