Design your day your way at Little Bidlake Farm
Everyone has a different dream about what will make their wedding day perfect, so at Little Bidlake you will find the owners Jo and Phil Down both flexible and accommodating in hosting your wedding, to your personal requirements. Little Bidlake is set in a stunning location with exclusive use for your wedding, it’s beautiful oak gazebo available for civil ceremony/partnership. Whilst most couples opt for a traditional type of marquee and decorate it to their personal tastes, almost anything is possible here. The large lawn hosts any marquee you desire, has electric hook ups and mains water for the caterers of your choice. In the past they have had brides on horseback, leading cows, grooms with dogs and alpacas and they have even had a viking wedding where the bride and groom made their vows by ‘hand-fasting’ (tying the knot) by the camp fire. Brides in 2012 can now have their cake and eat it! The popular cake deal from Lawsons just got better, it is now made from scratch at a local Devon bakery and the three tier cake deal, which includes stand hire and a wedding knife, is available in rich fruit cake, vanilla sponge or chocolate sponge. “We recognised that many couples were opting for a sponge cake for their wedding and that chocolate and vanilla cakes can be used as a dessert at the wedding breakfast” commented Liz Lawson from Lawsons. Decorating the cakes couldn’t be easier. There is a vast assortment of wedding tops, ribbons and sugar flowers to choose from and the friendly staff at Lawsons will be happy to offer advice so you can create the perfect cake to match your wedding theme.
