Within Dartmoor National Park and just 2 1/2 miles from Tavistock town centre, this conservation gold award winning park is easily accessible being near the A386 Tavistock - Okehampton road. The Park is VisitEngland graded ‘four star’ for camping and touring facilities on its beautiful landscaped 12 acres of meadow and parkland. In the same family ownership for 28 years the Park is an ideal base for all kinds of visitors to West Devon. Next to cycle and bus routes it is also an easy, safe walk to Tavistock. Premium self-catering accommodation is available in a refurbished detached former farm house. ‘Harford House’ sleeps up to 6 in two doubles and a twin bedroom. There are en-suite and family bathrooms, a shaker style kitchen with gas hob, combination oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. There are two further reception rooms and a boot room with WC downstairs. Outside is an enclosed garden, parking for two cars with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. On the park are eleven luxury VisitEngland ‘Rose Award’ self-catering caravan holiday homes and two self-catering lodges that offer centrally heated and double glazed comfort for 4 to 6 persons in 2 or 3 bedroom accommodation. A unique 2012 Shepherd’s Hut provides a warm and dry camping experience. It offers comfortable camping for two in a traditional style Dorset Shepherd’s Hut, a ‘first’ on Dartmoor. With double bed, fridge, wood-burner and under-floor heating adding to the experience. It has been built by long established hut makers Plankbridge, who will exhibit one at the 2012 Chelsea Flower Show. The team at Harford Bridge Park will be showcasing the park and its facilities on Easter Monday 9th April 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. On show will be the park and its facilities, Harford House, the Shepherd’s Hut and a luxury caravan holiday home.
