Tavistock Golf Club
Wednesday, 14 March 2012
Tavistock Golf Club is very fortunate in having a thriving and talented Junior Section whose ages range from 7 to 18. Under the guidance of the Junior organisers and the club professional, they have gone from strength to strength. On Saturday March 24th at the Club’s OPEN DAY boys and girls will be especially welcome and will have the opportunity to discover what a great game golf is. There will be FREE lessons to give youngsters a taste of the game and the chance to experience the joy of a well hit ball! But golf is also a family sport so there will also be FREE taster lessons for parents and, for the golfer in the family, the opportunity to play a FREE round of golf. But there is more to Tavistock Golf Club than just golf! The Club has always had a good reputation for being active and friendly and has a strong social membership. Some are ex-golfers but many are non-golfers and, as Social Members, have always played an important part in the activities of the Club. Throughout the year there are many social functions as well as monthly quiz nights and a weekly Bridge Club. The Club is very fortunate in having a first class chef as well as an excellent cook so, if members just want a quiet lunch or dinner or a chat with friends over a cup of coffee, the Clubhouse is an ideal place. On the OPEN DAY there is a SPECIAL OPEN DAY OFFER, so book your FREE PLACE on either of the two sessions. For the experienced players, non-golfers and youngsters book your FREE PLACE now and take advantage of the chance to join the Club on exceptional terms. Two sessions are planned - 10.00 am and 2.30 pm To book your FREE PLACE now contact the Club Secretary on 01822 612344 or e-mail info@tavistockgolfclub.co.uk for more information and to book places on either of the Sessions.
