Woman rushed to hospital after collapsing in Tavistock

By Sally Shipton in Emergency Services

A WOMAN was rushed to hospital this afternoon (March 7) after she collapsed outside of The Pasty House in Tavistock.

The emergency services were called and two ambulances arrived on the scene. An air ambulance was also on standby in Tavistock Meadows.

The air ambulance pilot said: ’There has been an incident at The Pasty House and the person needing medical assistance has now been taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance crews.

’The air ambulance was not needed so I will be flying it back to Derriford.’

A staff member from The Pasty House said: ’A lady collapsed outside so an ambulance was called for her. We think she was still breathing when the ambulances arrived so hopefully she is going to be okay.’
